What goes up, must come down. And don’t forget those spinning wheels, ’cause they got to go ’round. Or something. I feel like a spinning wheel on a roller coaster of late, at least on the poker front. About a week ago, I went on a nice run where my big cards held up, my draws came in more often than not, and my opponents donkey play paid off nicely.
It’s what every poker player likes, and it’s a nice zone to be in.
Of course, these kinds of runs usually come to an end, and so it’s been for me. If I have JJ, my opponent has AQo and one or the other falls. If I have AKs, my opponent has AJ, and the J hits. An inside straight draw? As long as it’s not mine, it’s sure to come in. Me with 88 and you with 33? You can bet at least one 3 is going to hit, likely on the river.
It’s all part of the game, of course, and it’s the flip side to being in the zone. 🙂
In other donkey news, I managed to register for Cadillac Poker’s private Pot Limit Omaha tournament this week, and then forget to play. Yay me.
